Íslandsbanki and its employees are donating ISK 4 million to support refugees from the war in Ukraine. The money will be donated to the Red Cross Emergency Fund, which will use it to meet the needs of Ukrainian people and provide emergency services, including food, water, healthcare, housing, and psychological support.
The Bank’s employees have contributed to the donation drive in the past week, and the Bank itself will make a matching contribution.
Íslandsbanki has employed computer programmers who reside in Ukraine and has been making a concerted effort to support these employees in every way possible.
Íslandsbanki encourages other companies to be a force for good in the community and provide genuine support for the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
