Íslandsbanki Sus­tain­ab­il­ity statement 2024

Íslandsbanki publishes an integrated Annual and Sustainability Report every year. The below sustainability statement for 2023 contains more detailed breakdown of ESG information as well as sections on organizational and operational boundaries, methodology and definitions.  The auditing firm KPMG has reviewed and provided limited assurance on certain sustainability disclosures for the year 2024. This year's sustainability report is a step towards the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) as the Bank has published the preliminary results of a double materiality assessment. The information in the Bank's sustainability report is therefore derived from those European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) that are important for Íslandsbanki in accordance with the preliminary results of the double materiality assessment. Additionally, selected metrics from the Nasdaq ESG guidelines from 2019, GRI, and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact are included, as the Bank considers them important to provide comprehensive sustainability disclosures.
