The Íslandsbanki Entrepreneurship Fund Board has decided to allocate grants from the fund on the 15th of June this year to offer extra support during the Covid 19 pandemic. This is our way of supporting entrepreneurship and innovation and to help both individuals and companies, who may be experiencing financial problems during this difficult time.
The fund will offer support to projects that support the four UN SDGs that the bank has chosen to focus on: Gender Equality, Quality Education, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and Climate Action.
"We want to be a force for good in society. This initiative shows this support in action, paving the way for innovative ideas that lack the funds to make them a reality, "says Una Steinsdóttir, CEO of Íslandsbanki's Commercial Banking Division and Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Fund.
The fund will provide support for 7-10 projects this year and each project will receive ISK 1-5 million. The deadline for applications is the 3rd of June 2020.
