Electronic ID
You can visit any one of our branches to ask advisors to activate your electronic ID. All you need is a SIM card that is compatible with the service and valid identification, such as a driver's licence or passport.
Parents/guardians can apply for electronic ID for young adults under the age of 18 on the Auðkenni website.
You can browse the Auðkenni.is website to see if your SIM card is compatible with the service.
