Payments to high-risk countries

The recipient of the payment is in a country that is classified as high-risk country by the Financial Supervisory Authority. therefore our customers need to answer an enhanced due diligence and send supporting documents for explanations, e.g. invoice or reason for payment. Please note that the payment cannot be sent to the recipient until the bank has received and reviewed the information.

Please complete the enhanced due diligence and send it along with supporting documentation attached to the following email address erlendargreidslur@islandsbanki.is so that the payment can be completed.

Once the answers have been received and reviewed together with supporting documents, the payment will be processed and a payment receipt will be prepared. If the data is not sent before 14:00 today, the payment may be canceled.
