Please note that all currency exchange rates are for reference only.

The buy/sell rate used when the Bank sells/buys currency to/from its customers via the Bank's distribution channels. The exchange rate is updated regularly throughout the day.

You can buy all major currencies at Íslandsbanki's branches.

You can also obtain foreign currency at Íslandsbanki's foreign exchange ATMs, located in our branches at Norðurturn, Laugardalur, Grandi, Akureyri, and the self-service in Kringlan. The currency ATM in Norðurturn is situated outside the branch, which means you can obtain currency outside the regular opening hours or as long as Smáralind is open.

For very large amounts, it may be a good idea to contact us a few days in advance to make sure that the amount in question is available at the branch where you intend to pick it up.
